Lasyakala

Lasyakala Dance Vision is a premier institution for Odissi dance, dedicated to the promotion and development of Indian classical dance in the rural and tribal districts of Odisha. Through Lasyakala’s efforts, many young and talented students have been able to pursue classical dance as a career and gain recognition for their abilities.

Each year, Lasyakala organizes its Annual Day celebration, and for the past 10 years, it has also hosted the Aekalavya Samman in Odisha, as well as in various parts of India and abroad. The 9th edition of Aekalavya was held in Malaysia with the NSCB Indian Cultural Center, and the 10th edition took place in Dubai with OSUAE and the Consulate General of India. The Aekalavya Award is presented annually to both young and established dancers who show great promise.

Lasyakala’s annual workshop, Kallol (The Sound of Excitement), provides opportunities for underprivileged and below-poverty-line children to grow and thrive in life.

Lasyakala is not just an organization; it is a society that nurtures and provides a platform for artists and their art.
